Michael O. Wieclaw’s art began as the product of Crayola crayons and Saturday morning cartoons. Since then, it’s metamorphosed into some of the city’s best visual design. We’ve created official shirts for the cast and crew of Breaking Bad and images recognized all across the state. Our uncanny designs capture the vibe of New Mexico with a bizarre and colorful twist, and we showcase our NM pride through reimagined Zias and support of our fellow Albuquerque artists. Visit our swamp, take a dip in the maggot pit, snag a free sticker, and bring home something offbeat and unique.

Metal The Store is the retail location for artist Michael O. Wieclaw aka Metal The Brand. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2012, Metal took his art to the Albuquerque farmers markets and festival communities where his Breakfast Zia (and other food zias) and Slimy Susana the Garbage Pail Polotician gave him acclaim. Come visit what locals call “a must see” retail shop and get free stickers. There are always free stickers hanging from the tree in the Swamp in the store!

Owner / artist Michael O. Wieclaw aka Metal The Brand has worked in event / festival merchandise management for over a decade. This is his first brick and mortar but feels it’s cake since he doesn’t have to break down every night. He also does quailty custom screen printing.
