We specialize in danishes, coffee cakes, cakes, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, lunch salads and wraps and our world famous Chocolate Cup Cookie! Everything is made from scratch daily so we can offer the freshest baked goods to our loyal customers.

McLain’s Bakery has been serving fresh baked goods to the greater Kansas City area for over 70 years. Since 1945, local families have relied on us for danishes, cookies, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, lunch salads, wraps and sandwiches, cupcakes and cakes from scratch for all occasions. McLain’s was founded by the McLain family but is now operated by a local family that grew up enjoying the Cup Cookie and who desire to see the bakery remain an institution in Kansas City. We are preserving all of the classic recipes while adding a few new items to the Menu (Shatto Milk, Thou Mayest coffee, coconut macarons). Stop by soon, experience the local tradition, and have a warm cinnamon roll fresh out of the oven!
