Domestica brings a well-curated selection of modern handmade and print work to the city of Des Moines and the historic East Village neighborhood – like having an Etsy shop in your back yard.

Established in 2010.
Domestica started in a small 400 sf retail space in the historic Northwestern Hotel in Des Moines. We now have a shop over 3x larger on the corner of E5th and Grand Ave.

Chrissy started Domestica to share her love of handicraft and design with her city. She really enjoys helping customers find really great gifts that they’re excited to give. When she’s not working, she likes to chill w/ the family, run downtown and eat tacos from the E. University taco truck.
