Baked Custom Desserts provides the best cakes and desserts in Milwaukee with a wide variety of flavors and mousse fillings. Decorators and Bakers work with each customer to ensure they receive the amazing custom cake, or dessert, they’re looking for.

Baked Custom Desserts was founded in 2009 out of a small, home kitchen with a 24 inch oven. What started as a small business making cakes and goodies for friends and family has grown into a custom bakery that offers specialty cakes, delicious cupcakes and fine desserts for all of Milwaukee. After working as a Pastry Chef at Peter Sciortino’s Bakery on Brady Street, Rachel Schmidbauer was offered an opportunity by the Vella family, Sciortino’s owners, that could not be passed. They knew Rachel dreamed of opening her own business and allowed Baked to rent the lower level pastry kitchen and provide them with cakes, cupcakes and other desserts to help grow the Baked brand, Beth Leffler, Rachel’s partner and sister, joined the team in 2012, Meg Loomis, baker and sister, joined the team in 2014 and sister Amy Hess and husband Gordon joined the team in 2017. In February 2013, Baked open the doors to their new kitchen inside Peter Sciortino’s and has been thriving ever since.
