Sales, purchases and trading fine previously owned and new/never worn luxury watches by mail order — combined with dependable, friendly service — have made Wingate’s one of the most successful watch companies in the world. Bob Wingate is a tenth generation American with much of his genealogical history in the New England area. Bob’s family history is diversified, from an ancestor serving as a senator during George Washington’s presidency to many artisans and craftsmen, such as clockmakers, watchmakers, silversmiths and military hardware manufacturers. Today, Bob Wingate is considered an expert in the field of horology as well as a respected and honest businessman.

Bob Wingate is a tenth generation American with much of his genealogical history in the New England area. Bob’s family history is diversified, from an ancestor serving as a senator during George Washington’s presidency to many artisans and craftsmen, such as clockmakers, watchmakers, silversmiths and military hardware manufacturers.

Today, Bob Wingate is considered an expert in the field of horology as well as a respected and honest businessman. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas in 1974. He received his Associate Degree of Horology (watch and clockmaking) from Mountain View College in 1976. He is also certified by the American Watchmakers’ Institute.
