The best entrepreneurial stories begin with a personal moment of inspiration. For Sam Unruh, it was a desire to impress his significant other with a piece of furniture he’d designed, crafted and assembled by hand in his workshop. That « significant other » went to become Mrs. Unruh. And that « workshop » has grown into Kansas City’s premiere boutique furniture line. In 2015 Unruh embarked on a remarkable journey into a 100-year-old historic church located in Midtown, Kansas City. The building had been abandoned for several years and Unruh knew it would be a magical space to build and showcase their furniture. They now host incredible tours of the space, which you can easily schedule through their website.
