Porterhouse specializes in the highest quality of meat seafood and deli. The majority of our fish is flown in direct from the coast. Our beef is primarily of upper choice, prime and Kobe. All deli items are made in house. Customer service is our other specialty. We strive to learn our customers name and shopping habits to better serve them. For those who know they deserve something better, they come to us. We are not trying to be the largest, just the best.

Established in 2000.
Porterhouse was founded with the intent to provide customers with a source for high quality meat and service from a professional who could cut the meats that customers were requesting. We are also great at helping customers not only decide what cuts are best for what they want, but also cooking tips and preparation help too. With today’s ever growing « big box » grocery stores, customers are feeling lost at the meat counter as they try to select from a huge line of choices they know little about. That is what created us; small, specialized, helpful. The next thing we knew we had grown into a fresh fish purveyor, deli meats and cheeses, deli lunches and catering. All by simply fulfilling the requests from our customers, we grew into a complete neighborhood market.

Dave grew up in farming communities of Idaho and Oregon. My first job was at a meat packing house in Eagle Idaho. There I learned meat cutting skills and sausage making. After that I had the opportunity to test my sea legs in Alaska for 2 years fishing salmon, crab and halibut. This is when my love (and appreciation) for fresh seafood was developed. Then at age 25 I opened my first business processing beef, pork, lamb and wild game for customers. It was during this time that the seeds for Porterhouse was created. Phone calls kept coming from customers looking for a good place to buy their meat. In 2000 I made their dream come true.
