At Park Packing, we are proud to be known as one of three remaining slaughterhouses, in the Chicago-land area. From the Civil War, until the 1920’s, the Chicago stockyards was known as the country’s largest meat-packing center, and acknowledged as the headquarters of the industry. Presently, the City of Chicago has granted three permits to local slaughterhouse facilities that meet the strict industry standards of operation, and we are proud to be one of them.
