The Beginning – 2005 Taking a Risk… At the young age of 21, Ryan Farris (Founder and CEO of Mattress King) quickly became an eager entrepreneur with high expectations of helping people and his community. He found a niche where he could apply his skills to help customers find their best night’s sleep. In 2005, Ryan took out a high interest home equity loan on his personal residence in Yukon, Oklahoma to fund his first store opening. Building one on one relationships, and giving his customers a quality product at an affordable price, Mattress King was born. Oklahoma City – 2016 Running with the Big Dogs….Mattress King opened their most recent store in Oklahoma City’s popular furniture row, Reno and Portland. The OKC store opened in October of 2016 and blew thru their expectations in their first year.
