Hi Fi Club

The HiFi Club has been providing fine home theaters, audio, video, and home automation systems for Santa Barbara’s finest homes since 1988. Our motto is « Effortless Access to Everything Amazing. » Our mission is « Customer satisfaction through careful listening, planning, execution and follow-up. » Our staff is very experienced and highly trained. We are certified Savant, Crestron and Control4 dealers. We design high quality, reliable, and easy-to-use home electronics systems of any size. We also service and offer maintenance of what we sell.

Hi-Fi Club (also spelled Hifi or Hi Fi) was established by musician Hans Betzholtz and visual artist Elaine LeVasseur to provide great music sound to Santa Barbara homes. Initially, we began to sell, install, and service only fine music listening systems, but expanded to building Home Theaters, Outdoor A/V, and Whole House Automation Systems in 1995. Two years later, the company expanded beyond the residential sector to retail, offices, schools and museums. In 2005, we began our 24-7 equipment remote monitoring services with robust home network and Wi-Fi systems. We can update, reboot and track the performance quality of key components without house calls. We are a full service Custom Electronics Systems provider.

Business Owner
Hans was born in Stockholm, Sweden and studied music, engineering and business. He worked in the region’s top « stereo store » beginning in high school and became a representative for AudioNord. He sold high end loudspeakers from France, England, Japan, and the USA to the top audio retailers in Scandanavia and Northern Germany. He moved to California to pursue a career marketing for a respected loud speaker manufacturer. Hans started the Hi Fi Club to import audio equipment, but found audio system designing and installation to be more rewarding.
