We began baking at our cafe in Hillcrest and expanded to our wholesale facility in 2000. We still bake fresh daily, 364 days a year at both the cafe and wholesale.

After a career making low budget « B » films, Mr. Kaufman decided to pursue his other love: hard crust European artisan breads and pastries. The world, and San Diego in particular is a better place as a result of Mr. Kaufman’s career change.
