David Samiljan is a 1993 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America of Hyde Park, NY. His great-grandfather ran the family butcher store in Brooklyn, and he grew up surrounded by
quality food. From 1999 to 2004 he worked for Niman Ranch Meats in Oakland, CA. He worked in the plant, in sales and as a quality control manager. In 2005 he re-launched his family store, Baron’s Meat & Poultry, in the Alameda Marketplace. After incorporating seafood into his
product line, he rebranded as Baron’s Quality Meats & Seafood and opened his second location in Noe Valley, San Francisco in 2017. Baron’s Quality Meats & Seafood is dedicated to providing meat that is the highest quality, best flavor, adheres to the strictest levels of safety, and has been raised humanely with little impact to the environment. As a trained chef, David will not put meat into the case which does not meet his high standards for flavor, consistency, and quality.
