Beginning at local farmer’s markets, Melanie and Jason Schoendorfer built a steady following for years leading to the opening of their brick and mortar location, Babe’s Meat & Counter in the Spring of 2018.

With a background as a cheesemonger and specialty buyer for a local gourmet market, Melanie began making sausages at home as a hobby in 2010. This coincided with Jason’s growing love of bbq and smoking. After a few years of learning and testing, the 2 began selling their wares at local farmer’s markets.
