The general dentistry practice of Dr. Joseph Mirci consists of most common aspects of dentistry one would typically expect to receive in a dental office, yet it also includes a variety of services such as appliances for the treatment of sleep apnea that make his practice unique. He enjoys family care for patients of all ages. Dr. Mirci believes that the most important aspect of treatment begins with an emphasis in caring for the individual patient and his or her individual needs. It is important for a patient to understand what treatment options they have and how those choices will affect their dental needs both now in the future. His practice strives for a wonderful blend of modern technology and old-fashioned service. Dr. Mirci grew up in Southern California, but his desire to be a dentist led him to the Univ. of Utah where he received his bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Mirci completed a general practice residency at Northside Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. He has been recognized as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Academy of Dentistry International. He earned Fellowhip, then Mastership, in the Academy of General Dentistry and recently received a Lifelong Learning and Service Award from the AGD, the third person in the United States and Canada to receive the award for the 2nd time. Dr. Mirci served on the Utah State Dental Board for 8 years, and also on the boards of the Utah AGD, the Salt Lake District Dental Society, and the UDA. He served as Lead Dentist for Utah Give Kids a Smile on the state and local levels.
