Business Owner
Thea & Nico are a husband-and-wife team hailing from Brooklyn and Bogotá, Colombia respectively.
They met and founded their studio in 2004 in Brooklyn and immediately carved out a niche in the jewelry market, building a reputation for bringing new life to bygone materials and techniques.

While their work has evolved in aesthetic and process over the nearly two decades of collaboration, they always champion thought-provoking designs intended to tell a story through the history or juxtaposition of the materials. Their repertoire is denoted by a trademark fusion of masculine and feminine, sweet and tough, whimsical and serious, high and low, industrial and fine-jewelry elements.

In addition to making jewelry and running their shop, Thea and Nico are raising two boys who can often be found behind the counter, learning the ropes. The family is completed by our cat, Lupe, who greets all-comers on the door-step of the shop year-round.
