We are a locally owned and boutique specializing in a hand picked selection of clothing, gifts, accessories, jewelry, and home decor as well as Mid-Century/Danish Modern home furnishings. We also offer designs services; both commercial and residential interior design, and color consultation.

Established in 2009.
Stripe is the brainchild of owner, Suna Lock, who collaborated with UCSC graduate and fine art painter Dana Norrell in 2008 to make their dream a reality. Stripe’s goal is to create a unique and inspirational environment in which people of all ages can buy a delightful item, from a $5 ring right up to a $200 dress. Our suppliers are home grown here in the USA and hand cut their own patterns using only sustainable materials. 30% of our product is made by our in-house team, repurposing and reusing our vintage finds. Our store features a new local artist each month and Stripe participates in the First Friday Art Tour , opening our doors to local art collectors and enthusiasts. Our store evolves and grows daily…There is always something new to see, a new treasure to buy, or a new collection to inspire you. Our team prides itself in providing excellent customer service. Business Owner
Suna arrived in Santa Cruz in spring 2003. She left her London based interior design firm to follow her husband’s career. In 2005 after the birth of her first child, she established the USA branch of her Interior design company. Suna collaborated with an asian manufacturer to design a furniture collection which launched with great sucess in NYC 2006.

Tired of travelling back and forth to the UK and pregnant with #2, Suna sold her UK company in 2007 and used the money to invest in her Santa Cruz business, Stripe Design Group. The company has worked with both corporate clients and local private individuals on an array of design projects.

In 2008 the retail side of Stripe was concieved. Suna’s collaboration with UCSC graduate Dana Norrell on this project resulted in an explosion of creative energy, the result of which is the store you see today.

Suna and Dana work ceaselessly to reinvent the store and keep it fresh, exciting and inspirational each and every day.
