Satoshi Yamauchi is a furniture maker, in Hawaii, with 20 years of wood furniture making experience. Satoshi was trained in Hida Takayama, Mecca for furniture building. Japanese woodworking traditions therefore live on in his work in Hawaii. Satoshi’s approach to woodworking is about achieving a good balance of aesthetics, function, and durability. Some of the wood species we use for our furniture include: Hawaiian monkeypod, Hawaiian koa, walnut, sapele, cherry, maple, birch, teak and more.
