Queen of Hearts has evolved over the years to become Providence’s premier boutique destination for dresses of all varieties. We still carry handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry and we offer a plethora of clothing options from t-shirts and denim to shorts, skirts, blouses, jackets, and coats, but dresses are what we do best. We can’t help it. We love dresses. LOVE them. We have dresses for going to the beach, dresses for the office, dresses for dates and dresses for prom. Our manager bought her wedding dress here for $100. Just saying. We carry a broad selection of clothing from brands such as Dear Creatures, Tulle, BB Dakota, Yumi, Volcom, Stop Staring, Free People, MINKPINK, Brixton and many others. And if you need a pair of heels to try on with your outfit to see if it works, we’re happy to bring you a pair from our adjacent shoe store, Modern Love.

Established in 2006.
Karen Beebe opened Queen of Hearts in a small storefront on Union St in 2006 as a space to showcase her own designs and the handmade designs of several other local artists. Since then, Queen of Hearts has relocated to the center of Westminster St and expanded significantly to carry the work of 70+ local and not-so-local artists as well as an exquisitely curated and excellently priced clothing collection from brands such as Dear Creatures, Yumi, BB Dakota, Champagne & Strawberry, Tulle, Trollied Dollies, Stop Staring, and many others. In 2010 Karen took over the space adjacent to Queen of Hearts and opened Modern Love, a mecca of shoes and accessories. The two spaces are connected by a doorway so customers may wander between the stores at their delight and leisure. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there are plenty of places to sit comfortably to rest, and you may just get offered a glass of wine while you shop. Don’t pinch yourself, you aren’t dreaming.

Karen Beebe is the shop owner and the fabulous designer and creator of the fashion line «Lucille». Karen is a very busy lady who always manages to look amazing while sewing a dress, wielding an electric drill, or organizing a fashion show.
