Modern Bungalow was born out of our love for the Arts & Crafts and Craftsman period of design in the UK and America. Roughly 1890 to 1930. After buying our 1919 Denver bungalow in 2000, we were hard pressed to find a local source for just the «right» furniture. As a result, Ed began designing and building Craftsman furniture to fill our home. Word spread, and he was soon building custom Craftsman furniture for other bungalow owners all over Denver. Fast forward a few years, and we decided to open a Mom & Pop business and it just seemed right to stick with something we loved. Our store is modeled after two of our favorite stores in California, where the Arts & Crafts and Mission styles have had a long history. We’ve just entered our 7th successful year in business, and we have thousands of customers and friends to thank for that. We’ve truly enjoyed bringing the best of AMERICAN made, period inspired furniture to Denver along with all the lamps, rugs and accents we carry.Matt H.
