Dr. Kalons and Dr. Glidewell met during their freshman year of dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Their maiden names Shubert and Simmons respectively, they sat alphabetically in labs and became close friends. Over the years they pondered the idea of building a practice together, and in May of 2006 the women dentists made their dream a reality in the heart of Uptown Charlotte.
