Located in Halifax’s North End since 1982. We are Atlantic Canada’s oldest custom furniture store, hand crafting solid wood furniture made in Nova Scotia. We specialize in fine furniture.

In 1982 Geddes Furniture opened its doors and specialized in selling antique furniture. Over the years the business developed further and started building tables and then furniture for the whole home including custom built ins and cabinetry. In 2013, we started to focus on what we do best, building quality fine furniture that is locally crafted in Nova Scotia. In addition to our Geddes Furniture collections we still build custom pieces and have introduced a few well crafted Canadian brands that include Kelly Harvey Living sofas and armchairs, Huppe and Geovin.

Michelle MacEachern and Troy Yeo own and operate Geddes Furniture. They purchased the business in 2013 from brothers, Kirby and Wendell Geddes. Michelle and Troy purchased their first table together from Kirby and were impressed by the quality of the furniture. They also liked purchasing furniture that was made by local craftspeople and were inspired to purchase the business. Michelle worked in various customer services, sales and marketing roles over the years prior to operating Geddes. Troy is a CA CPA and business entrepreneur.
