If your homewares and decorating leans towards the unique, minimalist and classic then a visit to A.P. Design House on Latrobe Terrace is a must. As the retail arm of a talented interior design firm (check out their Instagram for visual proof!), this store is a breath of fresh air and features brands otherwise difficult to come across in Brisbane including the decadent Tom Dixon candles.
It is carefully curated. Everything goes with everything and there’s an air of deliberate action — nothing in the store is by chance or happenstance. The aesthetic is just a slice of what I imagine would result if you were lucky enough to hire the team as your interior designers.
Prices range from budget-friendly for smaller pieces to those that you may have to save for. Thankfully, the last time I stopped by I noted that they are open to lay-by on some things.
Pro Tip: this is a store for you if you’re inclined to purchase classic «investment» pieces rather than trend-based designs.
