Established in 1947, the Diamond Cellar is a family-owned jewelry store located in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in engagement rings, luxury watches and designer jewelry. In 1947, Robert W. Johnson started a trade shop performing repairs and alterations for the jewelers and department stores in Columbus, Ohio. Soon, the other jewelers began sending their customers directly to Mr. Johnson for their service needs. He built his business on professional and honest service, and the customers kept coming back. Eventually, Mr. Johnson opened his own store and started selling jewelry to those customers, and the Diamond Cellar was born. With the help of Mr. Johnson’s family and a staff of caring professionals, what began as a small trade shop slowly grew into one of the city’s finest jewelry stores. Over the next sixty years, the Diamond Cellar would continue to expand, moving to increasingly larger spaces, to become one of the largest independent jewelers in the United States. Today, the Diamond Cellar operates two stores in Columbus. One is located on Sawmill Road on the Northwest side of the city and the other is at Easton Town Center on the Northeast side.

Our roots are in the goldsmith trade, and it’s an area of the business we have steadily grown. We manufacture much of our own jewelry right here in our store, using the best materials and craftsmanship.
