We mill our wheat directly on site so none of the grain is lost, offering the healthiest and absolute whole grain bread possible. There’s no additives and no preservatives in any of our products. We also offer Gluten X breads and goodies fresh every Wednesday. Gluten X are products where all of the ingredients naturally do not contain any gluten. Our offerings are as follows: Gluten X Cinnamon Chip Bread, Gluten X Whole Grain Bread, Gluten X Dakota Bread, and a variety of goodies that change monthly – call the store, check out our menu online, or follow us on Facebook to find out the details! In addition, we offer a vast Sandwich & Salad menu along with Soup (October thru May). Delivery is available for orders of $50 or more. Coffee is self-serve and customizable to your taste!

Established in 1996.
It all began back in the 1970s. Our founders, Pete and Laura Wakeman, were just a couple of college kids who baked amazing scratch-made whole grain bread to help pay their tuition at Cornell University. Newly married in 1975, they established the first Great Harvest Bakery in Great Falls, Montana. Word spread fast about their uniquely flavorful bread made with pure-and-simple ingredients and wheat purchased from local farmers. Great Harvest began to grow into the nation’s first family of independently owned and operated whole grain bread bakeries. Authenticity, a spirit of camaraderie and individuality remain the foundation of the organization. Great Harvest’s enduring strength is its mission to «be loose and fun, bake phenomenal bread, run fast to help customers, create strong exciting bakeries, and give generously to others.» Bakery owners are community minded, entrepreneurial, fun, committed to creating fresh and flavorful products at family friendly neighborhood hangouts.

Kris was born and raised in Mentor, OH. He attended St. Mary Mentor, Lake Catholic High School and graduated from Kent State. He is dedicated to being family-oriented and community-driven.
