Mark J Birnbach, DMD - Bouldersmiles

Dr. Birnbach’s goal is to provide the highest quality dental care in a relaxed and caring setting because he knows just how uncomfortable dentistry can be. As a child, he was treated by a dentist that didn’t believe children needed any anesthetic to treat their cavities. As his father was a baker , he ate cakes and cookies every night. That meant he had new cavities every time he went to the dentist. The pain was so severe that he told his mother he was never going to the dentist again. Fortunately his mother found a new dentist who did use anesthetic and that turned his life around. Dr. Birnbach provides local anesthetic, nitrous oxide and concious sedation, as well as massage pads and headphones to help make their treatment as comfortable as possible.

Established in 1977.
Dr. Birnbach earned his DMD from Tufts University. After graduation, Dr. Mark spent a year practicing in Switzerland. On his return to the states, he established his practice, which concentrates on aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. At his creek side location since 1977, he has taken over 3500 hours of continuing education. He is one of a few dentists in the world who has completed the Full Mouth Reconstruction Course at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Mark is now an instructor there. He has conducted dental seminars on aesthetic dentistry and thrice been awarded «Clinician of the Year» by the Boulder Dental Study Club. Dr. Birnbach has also been recognized as an expert in the field of TMD (Tempromandibular Joint Dysfunction), the treatment of chronic head, neck & facial pain. He has been recognized as a «Top Dentist» as voted by their peers, by 5280 Magazine every year since 2004.
