We at the Wild Local Seafood Co. have came to be in response to the unsustainable and ecologically impacting fishing practices Internationally. The owner, Captain Ben Hyman, spent nearly two decades working on commercial fishing vessels for species ranging from tuna, crab, live rock fish, local black cod, live local halibut, ling-cod, local white sea bass, local thresher shark, squid, and more. What he saw was a lack of respect to the fisherman and fish, ending in the fisherman being paid to little and a middle man making/asking too much and driving the quality down. We strive to provide fish to the public, caterers, fine purveyors of seafood, and gourmet dining establishments in a sustainable fashion optimizing “local-ism” with food. (Minimal miles for food/produce/seafood from boat or truck to table). We are able to source any fish from domestic waters BUT DO NOT sell fish caught internationally under non-sustainable practices!No Records Found
