Established in 2003.
Founded by illustrator and designer, Rachel Luzi, in her home as a hobby, Tiny Turnip has grown organically into a name that is known throughout the sports world. In 2008 Rachel designed a dress for the daughters her friend Jamie Kotsay, who’s husband played for the Boston Red Sox. Her daughters wore it to the playoff game and calls started coming in from other wives. This was the beginning of our signature Sporty Girl Dress and Tubulars. Ashley Papelbon, who’s husband, Jonathan Papelbon was the closer for the Red Sox quickly became one of Rachel’s best customers. They collaborated on designs and projects and became friends. Ashley’s love for Tiny Turnip sparked a partnership, and she became co owner of Tiny Turnip in 2010. Tiny Turnip continues to grow it’s customer base through referrals. Designing outfits for families of MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, and PGA athletes and sports organizations. Our designs are available on our website, in our studio and in select boutiques world wide.

Rachel is the Founder and Co Owner of Tiny Turnip. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BFA in Art and Illustration. Specializing in Children’s illustration. She is Tiny Turnip’s Designer and illustrates all of Tiny Turnip’s artwork and characters. She created and trademarked Tiny Turnip’s Tubulars and swaddle sock, and started Tubular Couture.
