George started The Kiva in 1970 as part of the historic Scarborough Faire – a market offering everything from leather works to dried herbs. With an original focus on selling books, The Kiva has evolved into a full service natural foods and specialty grocery store. George has always been an advocate for local community and economy and The Kiva is an extension of that philosophy.
