Established in 2004.
In reality, Chef Bruce started making his unique sauces and spice blends in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. We sometimes refer to this as his hippie era. Then in the late 1990’s his wife and several friends convinced him he should produce and sell his products. Since then The Chef’s Table, as he and his wife decided to call their business has grown and is developing a true following of foodies and loyal customers. Chef Bruce is becoming well known locally for his well prepared dinners, new recipes and great products. He likes to work outside the confines of a resturant on a one-to-one basis. He is always inventing new recipes, sauces, spice blends and other associated food items.Bruce H.
Business Owner
Chef Bruce grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. His mother, a “home ec.” high school teacher before his birth instilled a love of cooking in him very early. Unfortunately she died when he was nine. His father was a gourmet cook and so his love of cooking and food was sustained until his father’s death when Chef Bruce was 14. Chef Bruce went on to finish college attaining a BA in Political Science and Theatre. He worked for a while in many different capacities and then returned to graduate school in his early thirties culminating in the MFA Degree in theatre in the early 80’s. He taught college theatre in Oregon before returning to his first love of cooking.Though Chef Bruce has done many things throughout his life he never left the love of cooking unattended.
