The retail mattress industry is my passion. A customer recruited me to work for him as the VP of Operations for a growing chain of Specialty Sleep Stores in Washington and Oregon. We were a small company and I learned every aspect of the mattress business, both good and bad. The company was sold to a Private Equity Firm in 2000 and they promoted me to President & C00. Two years later a much larger mattress chain recruited me, CEO. We grew the mattress chain to 400 stores in 16 States. After selling the Company 7 years later I began consulting to the retail mattress industry. After two years of extensive travel we made a family decision to move to San Jose and open our own retail stores.
