Ruck Rover General Store

Here at Ruck Rover we have lots of nifty clothes, accessories and odds and ends to brighten up your day. Born from Claire and Isabelle Trolio’s wistful dreaming, the boutique has been a proud sister of the Beaufort St family since 2006. Ruck Rover sports a unique collection of women’s dresses, often with a vintage flavour, from labels rarely seen anywhere else in Perth. The store is particularly proud of it’s men’s t-shirts: unusual and stunningly bold, many of the designs are artist drawn (and some by the sisters themselves). Every month, Ruck Rover tucks a different artist’s work into the corner of the store, displaying their pieces in their Mini Art Mart. Ruck Rover believes Perth is awesome, and so are the people in it. If you happen to be outside of the store’s home town, you can always peruse their online store. Established in 2006.
Back in 2005 sisters (and best friends) Claire and Isabelle had one of those wouldn’t-it-be-fun-if-we-opened-a-shop conversations. I’m sure you know the kind. Then they started planning it. You know, just for fun. And then, all of a sudden, they realised that this pipe dream was actually achievable, and if they were going to do it they should do it right away. In October 2006 their little shop opened its doors, bringing in a host of lovely customers who have, over the years, also become their friends. After two years, and many phone orders from people around the globe, Claire and Isabelle thought it was time they made it easier for interstate and international shoppers, and busy locals, to buy their wares through an online store. While their list of suppliers has grown over that time they have remained true to their aim of supporting small, independent designers from all over the world and offering the folk of Perth something unique.

Claire owns Ruck Rover with her sister, Isabelle.
She opened the store while completing a combined English/Law degree, and has never looked back.
She loves meeting new customers and getting to know regulars.
Claire also helps run We Love Perth website, sharing her love of her city with tourists and other locals alike!
