Ruben arrived to O.C. from Argentina in 1970 and worked for a European car dealership for a while. However, he was disappointed in the way he was required to do his work. He loved these cars too much for the rushed jobs he was asked to perform. It was in July of 1978 that his dream came thru and he opened his own small Mercedes-Benz and Porsche repair shop on P.C.H. in Dana Point. Today Rubens Imports is a state-of-the-art repair and maintenance facility specializing on European Motor cars, from the classics all the way thru late model vehicles. Mostly, Rubens Imports is a family business. Ruben’s son-in-law, Rafael Bonetto, is the GM and runs the service department with the help of his long-time friend Jaime Escamilla, and Rafael’s brother JP Bonetto is in charge of all the sales, marketing and administration. “With my family in charge”, Ruben says, “I know things will be done the right way”.

JP has been working with the sales department of Rubens Imports since 1986. He is a native of Argentina and arrived to our beautiful community of Dana Point on February of 1986. Rubens Imports first hired him on June of 1986 as a carwash attendant. As the years went by, he escalated all the way to Sales and Office Manager. He now oversees the whole spectrum of operations, from payroll, thru car buying and ultimately car sales and customer retention.
