Established in 1986.
The owner of Premier Jewelers, Dennis, started working in the fine jewelry business in 1973 at Jacobs. In 1976, his family opened their own jewelry store in Kentucky called Johnson and Son Fine Jewelry. In 1982, Dennis took the GIA classes in Diamonds and Diamond Grading. Traveled to workshops on colored stones, colored stone identification, pearls and jade grading. In 1986, we opened Ashland Fine Jewelry in Ashland, Oregon. In 2008, we opened Oregon Trail Coin and Jewelry in Medford, Oregon. Opened a 2nd location in Roseburg in 2010 and a 3rd location in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 2012. We opened a higher end jewelry store in Downtown Medford called Premier Jewelers so we could bring in branded lines and luxury watches in the near future. The owner and his family have been in the fine jewelry business for almost 50 years. Dennis started as a rare coin dealer that bought and sold jewelry and fine watches as a hobby in the early 70’s. Over time and after going through the GIA courses, jewelry became a bigger emphasis and has grown ever since.
