Plato’s Closet Honolulu opened to buy from the public in November of 2012, and we had our Grand Opening January 2013 at which time we began selling as well. There are approximately 600 Plato’s Closets located on the mainland and Canada, Honolulu being the first store in Hawaii. Come check out our 3000 sq ft of inventory!

I worked in non-profits here in Hawaii for a number of years, and saw a need for families to be able to buy name-brand clothes for their kids at affordable prices. No one wants their child to feel “less than” because of the peer pressure of wearing the “right” styles. I saw a Plato’s on the mainland while on vacation and knew it would be a blessing to our island. Owning a business was never in my goals and dreams, but I felt called to do it, and still, after all these years, get all the feels when a mom or dad thanks us for being there. That was the true goal, to provide this service.
