Olympia Food Co-op

Fresh local organic produce, soup and salad bar, raw milks, gourmet cheeses, a wide array of bulk and gluten-free, options. A member-owned not-for-profit cooperative that aims to make good food accessible to more people and support efforts to increase democratic process and foster a socially and economically egalitarian society. Our sister store is on the Westside and hosts a Free Store and a Garden Center.

Established in 1977
We started out as a funky, tiny storefront in downtown Olympia in winter of 1977. The storefront was the natural outgrowth of the strong network of food buying clubs in the area. By 1980 we had moved to the west Olympia location. Our cozy little $600k co-op in ’84 became our sardine-oriented $2m store by 1991. On April 1st., 1994 we opened our larger Eastside location. In 2014 we opened our Garden Center on the Westside. In 2017 we celebrated our 40th Anniversary! Thank you Olympia!

Olympia Food Co-op Members are the owners! You vote for the Board of Directors and participate in the tasks of the stores and make the Co-op what it is!
