We’re a local and independent shoe store in downtown Santa Cruz, California featuring the “old school” brands of our youth, as well as sneakers, socks, accessories, and so much more!

Opened by Eric and Ellen G. in 2002, Old School has been providing cool kicks in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz for 14 years! Old School is now owned by longtime Buyer/Manager Jesse C.

Jesse C. Longtime Manager/Buyer purchased Old School Shoes in 2015. Born in Santa Monica in 1985 – Moved to Santa Cruz in 1987. Started working for Eric and Ellen Gil at the age of 18. Worked between Old School Shoes and Sockshop and Shoe Co. for over 10 years.
