Dr. Smith has been the team dentist of the Spokane Chiefs for over 35 years. Go Chiefs!. For over 30 years Dr. Smith has committed her talent and insight to the dental community. Her leadership and professional reputation is a catalyst for progressive dentistry. She is a spokesperson for various dental organizations including the American Dental Association and the Spokane District Dental Society. It offers Restorative, Preventative, Cosmetic, Sleep Dental Care.

For over 30 years Dr. Smith has committed her talent and insight to the dental community. Her leadership and professional reputation is a catalyst for progressive dentistry. She is a spokesperson for various dental organizations including the American Dental Association and the Spokane District Dental Society. Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota, Smith quickly established herself as a leader in restorative and preventive dental care. She has been the team dentist for the Spokane Chiefs since 1982. Recognized by her dental peers, Smith is the recipient of numerous honors. Most notably, her distinctions include the Washington State Dental Association President’s Award and the ADA’s Geriatric Oral Care Award. Dr. Mary Smith continues to an instrumental voice in dental education. She speaks nationally to dental students on dental practice trends and business operations. Other lecture appearances include Sports Trauma, HIPAA: Facts or Fiction, and Leadership.

Dr. Smith is a wife and mother of three. Her eldest daughter, Alicia works part time at North Cedar Dental and owns her own business, Modern Apothecary. Alicia is married to Marshall and most importantly, the mother of Griffin James, Dr. Smith’s first grandchild.

After touring with Holiday on Ice for two years, her daughter, Stephanie, retired from figure skating. She now lives in Lubbock, TX where she works as a manager for Starbucks and is completing her degree in accounting.

Her son, Jeff, recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in Psychology. He is currently playing professional hockey in Denmark although his future plans include attending dental school.

Steve, her husband, is an avid fisherman keeping the family’s freezer stocked with fish. In his spare time, he works out of the home as a hair stylist.
