Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes

Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes is Thurston County’s first dedicated gluten-free and peanut-free bakery. Our products, inspired by the founder’s great-grandmother, are created from scratch with the freshest ingredients and most unique, delectable flavors. Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes offers cupcakes and grab and go cakes in gluten-free, vegan, and keto varieties, as well as pastries and Italian macarons.

Established in 2012.
Miss Moffett’s Mystical Cupcakes was inspired by the owner’s great grandmother, Rachel Ann Moffett (1908-2000). She was an inspiring woman who had a huge impact on her community in a small town in Texas. She was legendary for her hot out of the oven jelly-filled cupcakes! Rachel Young, the owner, has been making cupcakes since 2011 when she was pregnant with her second son. She appeared on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars in 2013 and opened her first shop a couple months later! Rachel has moved her business a few times, but has finally found her permanent home in Hawks Prairie. She also sells cupcakes and macarons at Olympia Baking Company in the historic South Capitol neighborhood of Olympia.

Rachel is a mother of three sons, and has been baking since 2011. Before that, she attended college for real estate finance and spent several years as a bookkeeper. Miss Moffett’s is her passion, and she hopes to one day create children’s books, cookbooks and coloring books inspired by the company.
