Founded by Avery Ruzicka, Manresa Bread was born out of the kitchen of Chef David Kinch’s three Michelin-star Manresa restaurant. Manresa Bread was created with the vision of becoming Los Gatos’ neighborhood bakery. Avery Ruzicka began her fascination with bread during culinary school at the French Culinary Institute in New York. She focused her studies on international bread baking and followed her degree working under the master baker for Thomas Keller’s Per Se. After working in the kitchen of Chef David Kinch’s three Michelin-star Manresa restaurant, Avery was inspired to open Manresa Bread in 2014.
