Established in 1994.
After opening her first brick and mortar shop in Kansas City’s historic Brookside Shops in 1994, which Pam named after her daughters, Lauren and Alexandra (age 7 and age 4 at the time,) Lauren Alexandra quickly became the most sought-after kids and baby boutique in the city. Her initial endeavors were centered around decor for nurseries and kids rooms, but she soon evolved the shop into one that carries everything under the sun that any child (and parent) would want.

Lauren Alexandra is the brainchild of Pamela DiCapo, a woman of high-energy, bright ideas and a whole lot of moxie. Pam’s a dual-powered force. Childlike fantasy exudes from her every pore, yet lurking beneath is an unmistakably strong business-woman. Pam’s customers are not always fooled when she declares things like, “I’m all about ruffles,” or “All I do is twirl around all day!” Pam is filled with humor and positivity, yet while she makes serious stuff happen, perhaps she is, in fact twirling. It’s that youthful energy, combined with her unique taste and personal touch of magic that has kept her customers loyal for years.
