Ian Saude collaborate’s with private clients and other designers alike as a dedicated creative resource. SAUDĒ & CO.’s focus, first and foremost, is on creating beautiful contemporary objects that are chic but casual in appeal and full-service interior design which can be integrated comfortably into everyday life. Creative director Ian Saudē began his design career on a post-college trip to the Himalayas to study Buddhist philosophy, where he subsequently lived for more than a decade. Ian brings a wealth of expertise and insight to creating products and environments that showcase his unique aesthetic sensibility, subtly referencing both Eastern and Western artistic traditions in a way that is thoroughly contemporary.

Ian Saudē began his design career on a post-college trip to the Himalayas to study Buddhist philosophy, where he subsequently lived for more than a decade. Inspired by the time-honored methods of hand-craftsmanship and the spirit of local artisans whom he encountered, Ian’s earliest accessories collections (both in fine jewelry and cashmere) emphasized the symbols and mythological themes so integral to the regional culture.
From that point onwards, Ian has explored numerous styles and artisan techniques as part of his work, both for his own company and for other designer-clients in Europe, Asia and the United States. Working closely with artisans and craftspeople throughout the Himalayas and elsewhere in Asia for many years, Ian brings a wealth of expertise and insight to creating sophisticated, functional design that showcases his unique aesthetic sensibility, subtly referencing both Eastern and Western artistic traditions in a way that is thoroughly contemporary.
