Family-owned and operated, Household was opened by Alexander Jaffee and his son Richard Jaffee in 1945. In 1962, the company moved to the Lower Valley on North Loop Street after purchasing property from the new mayor, Ralph Seitsinger. A third generation came to the business in 1978, when Richard’s son Mike joined the company.
