Designing precious metal jewelry and objects in historic Larimer Square since 1964. In our work we use traditional metal techniques to create innovative and timeless styles in silver, gold, and platinum with handpicked diamonds, colored stones, and exotic minerals. We design and handcraft rings, pendants, earrings, cufflinks, belt buckles and custom objects on site in our shop on Larimer Square. Our customers can choose from a beautiful variety of stock jewelry for purchase or design a one of a kind piece set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, or other colored gems. Established in 1951.
When Larimer Square first opened in downtown Denver in 1964, Gusterman’s was one of six shops brought in to establish a new look and life to a part of town that had fallen into disrepair as the city grew into the suburbs. Today Larimer Square is a model of urban renewal that has succeeded beyond the dreams of the original founder. With over 13 wonderful restaurants and a dozen independent stores offering clothing, shoes, household accessories and jewelry, Larimer Square is a great place to spend an afternoon. As the Square has changed, Gusterman’s has grown as well. Offering design and custom work that is contemporary, reasonable, and well built. We expanded to include gold and platinum into our regular work and have added a few new faces, Jamie Mclandsborough and Alex Boyd. We have a wonderful history at Gusterman’s and look forward to more in the future. .

Mary began her career as an apprentice in 1970. In 1978 she purchased Gusterman’s Silversmiths. Over the last forty years Mary has designed, created, and repaired countless pieces. She has received awards for platinum design from the platinum guild, consulted with the Denver Art Museum, taught numerous apprentices and is listed in the 4th revised edition of “Manufacturing American Silversmiths” by Dorothy Rainwater.
