Gallery of Jewels is a jewelry store that represents over 140 local, regional and international fine and fashion jewelry designers. Our mission has been the same since we opened our first Gallery in 1990: to build a strong artistic community, support those artists to the fullest and bring high quality jewelry to their clientele. Gallery of Jewels artists cover the spectrum of jewelry from fun and fashionable to one-of-a-kind custom work and they are renowned for their unusual and alternative engagement, commitment, and wedding jewelry. Savvy locals and adventurous tourists looking for something a little different love the ever-changing fashion adventure that Gallery of Jewels offers. The entire Gallery of Jewels staff strives to build long-term relationships with jewelry artists and customers alike, and almost all sales associates are either jewelry designers or gemologists themselves. Gallery of Jewels is a San Francisco institution with two locations in Noe Valley and Pacific Heights. Gallery of Jewels began as a dream shared by two. That dream has since grown to encompass the shared vision and commitment of 19 dedicated employees. Gallery of Jewels was conceived as a place to showcase Ornaments by Dona, the fledgling fashion jewelry company founded by owners Bill Hoover and Dona Taylor, and the jewelry of five of Dona’s designer friends. What began as a small operation in 1990 has since expanded into three unique galleries showcasing the work of over 100 talented artists. Though the scale of the concept along with the number of staff has grown, the Gallery of Jewels mission has remained the same since its inception: build a strong artistic community, support those artists to the fullest, and bring quality jewelry to our clientele.
