DAW’S Home Furnishings, of El Paso, TX, evolved from the original S.O.S. TV and Appliance Company, which opened in 1951, as a small retail showroom in a radio and television repair shop. Yazbik Daw, along with three other partners, joined forces as the birth of color television created a golden opportunity for business growth in the El Paso area. After adding furniture to the product mix, Yaz changed the name of his store to DAW’S S.O.S. TV Appliance and Furniture Company. By 1984, the name was changed to DAW’S Home Furnishings, offering merchandise to satisfy entire household needs from appliances and electronics to furniture and home accessories. In 1986, the “Daw Gang” opened their current 40,000 square foot showroom and warehouse, located in the heart of El Paso at Interstate 10 between Hunter and McRae. Brothers Wade & Mark Daw own and operate DAW’S Home Furnishings and Thomasville Home Furnishings in El Paso, TX. Wade has been working in the family business for over 44 years, while Mark has for over 36 years! Wade manages our sister store, Thomasville, while Mark manages DAW’S.
