Crème Cupcake + Dessert offers something for everybody! From cupcakes that you can have customized for special occasions, to plated desserts, to a nice hot cup of Gong Fu tea or Zanzibar coffee, to cupcake-inspired cocktails, to special event and wedding cakes tailored specifically for you! We love being a part of our customer’s special days, as we know those will become the most memorable. Our mornings typically involve delivering cupcakes and treats around the metro Des Moines area and assisting walk-in customers. Our evenings consist of plated desserts, a full bar with cocktails, wine, and beer, and of course cupcakes, if you’re heart so desires. Our space can also be booked for private or semi-private events such as: -baby showers -retirement parties -birthdays -cupcake decorating parties -tours -engagement parties -bachelorette gatherings -or ANYTHING else!

Established in 2010.
Started baking out of my home kitchen and kept outgrowing numerous locations, finally settled in the great Ingersoll area on August 3, 2012. Featured on the Taylor Dayne 80’s episode of Cupcake Wars (aired June 2013). Voted Best Dessert by Des Moines Cityview in 2012 and 2013. Runner-up in 2014.

A baker since she could hold a measuring spoon, Christina combined her culinary skills with her management and marketing experience to create Crème Cupcake + Dessert, which expanded from a home-operated bakery to a commercial kitchen in less than a year.

A graduate of Iowa State University, Christina not only owns and operates Crème Cupcake + Dessert, but also devotes her time and talents to many local boards, including the WRG, GDMLI, and the Des Moines Downtown Chamber. Christina has won several awards for her business including Business Record’s 40 Under Forty, Cityview’s Best Dessert, Sweet Equality Best Dessert, 2012 Deb Dalziel Woman Entrepreneur Achievement Award by the Iowa Small Business Development Center and appeared on The Food Network.
