Carnitas Uruapan

We have been making the BEST carnitas in Kern County for over 35 years. We use the highest quality ingredients to make daily our carnitas, chicharrones, roasted chickens, corn tortillas, flour tortillas, salsas, and Mexican sweet bread.

We started out as a butcher shop specializing in the highest quality meats, carnitas and chicharrones. We have grown from the little carniceria to now include a panaderia and tortilleria.

Antonio and Lupe opened up Carnitas Uruapan in 1981. It was a dream of theirs to have a carniceria that made carnitas the way they do in Uruapan, Michoacán. The slogan they chose was “Our quality rings on” because it demonstrates their desire to only use the finest ingredients and provide the highest quality product to their customers.
