We opened our doors as Capistrano Mazda on October 1, 2015 but have been in business since June of 1997 when we originally opened our doors as a single-point VW dealership. At Capistrano Mazda in Orange County, California we are all about increasing the smiles, or as we like to call it “Smileage,” and helping our customers have the very best experience with us. Our Mission Statement: “We, the Capistrano family, are dedicated to industry and community leadership, while providing a friendly, fair and enthusiastic atmosphere for each other and our guests.”

Miles B.
Business Owner
In 2000, Miles B. started planning for an all-new VW Marketplace facility on the south end of the property that he purchased from VW of America in 1997. At the same time, Miles also started planning on a second brand to be housed in the original facility. Well, a lot happened in the years to come: construction, growth, acquisition of the property from Volkswagen of America (which came with a requirement to be “VW Exclusive” for 7 years) and more growth. In 2010, Willenborg joined the Capistrano Volkswagen team and soon became the store’s General Manager and Brandon’s business partner. Late 2014, we began dialogue with the Phillips family and by June of 2015 a deal was made. Then the work really began! That’s our story up until now. Just two guys focusing on one business to make it the best possible place for our both our employees and customers to do business.
