Belmont Butchery is an artisan butcher shop. We specialize in custom cut meats and charcuterie. Whether you are looking for a great steak (grain-fed; grass-fed; local; dry-aged; pastured; no added hormones or antibiotics); hand-made sausages; Pork, Lamb, Poultry, Bacon – and the list goes on. Belmont Butchery has all of your MEAT needs covered! We also have wine, cheeses, crackers, and a few other specialty items.

Belmont Butchery’s goal is to feed Richmond well! We started in October 2006 with the simple goal of making ‘restaurant’ quality meat available in Richmond VA. In the last 9 years, we have grown and expanded to bring you the best meat possible.

I opened Belmont Butchery in 2006 to bring the best meat possible directly to consumers. As a chef, I had access to good meat – but ‘people’ couldn’t get the same stuff! I went to UVA and then did my chef’s training in Switzerland. I moved to Richmond in 1995, to help open a restaurant. I’ve worked in a myriad of food related jobs – mostly as a chef, teacher or writer. And for the last 9 years – I’ve been your butcher!
