In 1976, with a very small nest egg and and one small baby, Charles and Georgiann Beaudet opened Beaudet Jewelry Design’s doors upstairs in Eugene’s historic Quakenbush Building. Even with a very small but select inventory, people were drawn to the unique designs and extensive knowledge Chuck brought to the area. After a year, more space was needed to display the jewelry. So Beaudet Jewelry Design (soon to become Beaudet Jewelry) took the next big step and moved to the Southtowne Shoppes. The store prospered, growing from the small, single display case in the Quakenbush building to six beautiful showcases in the new location. In the meantime, the Beaudet family kept growing. Today, Beaudet Jewelry moved to Westowne Plaza, next to our long time friends at the Clockmakers Gallery. to expand on our shop to better serve our customers with fast turnaround on repairs and wide custom ability

Charles Beaudet has designed and created everything from engagement rings to chalices. He even created the Ring Of Rings for a client, taken from Tolkin’s book, “The Hobbit.” It displayed elvish lettering that could only be seen after heating it by a candles flame. Pieces he helped his father with as an apprentice are now on display in the Milwaukee County Art Museum on the Lakefront in Wisconsin.

Charles loves that the designing and manufacturing of jewelry is an art that goes back thousands of years. He also loves the advantages of being on the forefront of technology. Our shop sports a new Laser Welding machine that can weld gold or platinum down to 2/10ths of a millimeter allowing for repairs on antique jewelry which would have been unheard of just a couple of years ago.
